The Little Five Game is a fun game that is played with your hand. To start, you put your hand on a flat surface with all of your fingers spread apart, like a starfish.
Then, one person will say a rhyme while tapping each finger in a certain order. The rhyme goes like this:
"Little Sally Saucer sitting on a saucer
We'll make a pot of tea and we'll pour some out for me
And we'll pour some out for you
Little Sally Saucer, do what you can do!"
As each line of the rhyme is said, the person saying it will tap a different finger with their other hand. Then, when they get to the last line, they will make a motion with their hand like they are flicking something off of their finger.
The person who is playing the game then has to quickly move the finger that was tapped to touch their palm, one by one. They have to do this while the person who said the rhyme is still making the hand motion.
If the person successfully touches their finger to their palm before the hand motion is complete, they get to keep that finger down and move on to the next one. If they don't do it in time, that finger stays up and they have to start over with that finger.
The goal is to get all of your fingers down to your palm before the rhyme and hand motion are complete.
It may sound a little confusing at first, but it's a fun game to play with friends and can also improve your hand-eye coordination!
