Llyn y Fan Fach
Llyn y Fan Fach is a very special place in Wales where people go to see a pretty lake surrounded by big, tall mountains.
A long, long time ago, a farmer was looking after his sheep on the mountains near the lake. He was feeling very tired and thirsty, so he asked a girl who lived in the lake to give him some water to drink.
The girl was very kind and gave him a cup of water. But then, something amazing happened! The farmer saw that the girl had very special powers and he fell in love with her! Suddenly, the girl disappeared back into the lake and the farmer knew he had to do something very special if he wanted her to come back.
So, the farmer climbed to the top of the mountains and spoke to the mountain itself. The mountain said that if the farmer promised to take care of the girl and treat her well, then he could marry her.
The farmer was so happy that he promised to do anything to make sure the girl was happy.
The girl even agreed to marry him and they had a wonderful life together. They even had three children! But, the girl had special powers and one day she had to go back to the lake. She told the farmer that their children would have special skills too, and that they would be able to help people who were sick or injured.
To this day, people still visit Llyn y Fan Fach and believe in the story of the farmer and the girl. They say that the children of the girl and the farmer grew up to become healers, and that the lake has special powers that can help them heal people too. It's a very special and magical place!
