Lobby (room)

A lobby is like the very first room you go to when you enter a big building, like a fancy hotel or a tall office building. It's where you wait before going to other rooms or places inside the building. Sometimes there are chairs or couches in the lobby so you can sit down and wait for someone or something. The lobby is usually pretty big and there are often lots of people coming and going, so it can be a fun place to people-watch too!
