Local time is like a special type of number that tells us what time it is where we are. It can go from 0 to 23 to represent the hours in a day, and from 0 to 59 to represent the minutes and seconds in an hour. Local time is special because it always starts over at 0 at midnight each day, but here in the United States, we also have something called daylight saving time. This means our local time can go from 0 to 22 for the first part of the year, and then go from 0 to 23 for the second part of the year.
