ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Loop group

Have you ever played a game of "telephone"? Where one person whispers a message to another person, and then that person whispers it to another person, and so on? It's a bit like that but with music instead of talking.

A loop group is a team of people who make sounds with their mouths to match what is happening on the screen in a movie or TV show. For example, if there is a scene where people are walking down a busy street, the loop group might make sounds like car engines, honking horns, footsteps, and people talking in the background.

They also help to re-record dialogue or add in new lines if the original recording was too quiet or if there are technical issues. Basically, they help make the sounds in movies and TV shows sound more realistic and lifelike, even if they didn't actually happen during filming.

Think of it like being a part of a secret club, where you get to use your voice to create all sorts of cool sounds that make movies and TV shows come to life!
