Lot and block survey system

Okay, imagine your neighborhood is a big piece of paper. This paper is divided into smaller boxes, like a checkerboard. Each box is a lot, which is just a piece of land where someone can build a house or a shop or anything they want.

Now, each lot has a special number, kind of like your address. This number is called the block number. It helps everyone know exactly where a lot is located on the paper.

So, let's say you live in lot number 12 on block number 3. If someone wants to find your house, they just need to know those two numbers and they can locate it on the paper.

This system is how the lot and block survey works. It helps keep track of where each piece of land is in a neighborhood, and makes it easy for people to find where they need to go.
