ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Lunar water

Lunar water is water or ice that is found on the moon. It is found mostly on the dark parts of the moon that don't get much sunlight, and it can exist in the form of ice or as vapor in very shadowed craters. Scientists believe that it comes from asteroids that have crashed into the moon, carrying water vapor and ice with them. Lunar water could be used to help astronauts stay on the moon longer in the future, as drinking water and even to help create rocket fuel!
