Luteinizing hormone

Okay, kiddo, so we have something called luteinizing hormone, which is a hormone made by a special part of our brain called the pituitary gland.

Now, this hormone is really important because it helps our bodies make other important hormones called estrogen and testosterone.

And you know what those hormones do? Well, estrogen helps girls grow and have their period, and testosterone helps boys grow and have muscles and deeper voices.

So, luteinizing hormone helps our bodies make those hormones, which does all kinds of important stuff for us as we grow and change!
