Lynching
Lynching is a bad thing that some people used to do to punish someone for something bad they did. They would take some rope, tie one end around the person's neck, and then hang them, like from a tree or a post. It's a really bad thing to do because it kills people and it's not fair, because the person didn't get a trial, or a chance to explain why they did something bad.
