MTBF stands for Mean Time Before Failure. It is the average amount of time that a machine, system, or product is expected to work before it needs to be repaired or replaced. For example, a car might have an MTBF of 200,000 miles, which means it should last at least 200,000 miles before it needs to be fixed or replaced.
