Mac transition to Intel processors

Mac computers used to use processors made by a company called PowerPC, but now they use processors made by Intel. The change was made so that Mac computers could do more tasks faster and offer more power. It also meant that developers could make programs (like games or other software) that would work on both Macs and other computers running Intel processors, so people had more options for the kinds of software they could use.
