Malabar script

Hey kiddo, have you ever heard of something called the Malabar script? It's actually a kind of writing that was used a long, long time ago in a place called Malabar (which is now part of India).

You know how when you write, you use letters (like A, B, and C) to make words? Well, the Malabar script was kind of like that, but the letters looked very different from the ones we use today. They were a bit more squiggly and round, and they were arranged in a way that made them look like little pictures.

People used this writing a long time ago to write things down, like stories and songs and sometimes even important messages. But over time, as new kinds of writing developed, the Malabar script started to fade away and not many people use it anymore.

But even though it's not used very much these days, some people still think the Malabar script is really important because it was a way for people in Malabar to share their stories and ideas with each other, and to keep them alive over many generations. And isn't that pretty cool?
