ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Maliki

Maliki is a way of practicing and interpreting Islamic law. It is named after a scholar named Malik ibn Anas who lived a long time ago. He was really smart and studied a lot about Islam, so people started following his way of interpreting the laws in the Quran and Sunnah. Maliki is one of the four big schools of Islamic law, along with Hanafi, Shafi'i, and Hanbali. People in different parts of the world follow different schools of law, but they all try to follow the basic teachings of Islam. Each school has its own way of looking at things and interpreting the laws, but they are all trying to understand what Allah wants for us.
