ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Mandated Lead Arranger

Okay kiddo, so you know how sometimes when you want to go to the playground, you need a grown-up to take you there? Well, when a big company wants to borrow a lot of money, they need someone to help them find the money, just like how you need a grown-up to help you get to the playground.

That's where the mandated lead arranger comes in. They are like the grown-up who helps the big company borrow the money they need. They work with a group of other grown-ups called lenders to come up with the money for the company.

The mandated lead arranger is in charge of coordinating everything and making sure everyone is working together. They also take on the most risk, kind of like if you were the biggest kid on the playground and everyone wanted to play with you, but you had to make sure everyone was being safe and following the rules.

So overall, the mandated lead arranger is kind of like a grown-up who helps big companies borrow a lot of money, just like how you sometimes need a grown-up to help you get to the playground.
