Manichaeism

Mani was a Persian teacher who lived about 1700 years ago. He taught that the world was divided into two parts - one part was the kingdom of light (or truth) and the other part was the kingdom of darkness (or evil). He believed that each of us has a little bit of both inside our souls and it is up to us to choose which one we will follow. It is our job to make the right choices and be kind to others. We can do this by being obedient to God's laws and living a good life. Mani's teachings were called Manichaeism.
