The International Space Station (ISS) is a large spacecraft that travels around Earth in space. It was built by many different countries around the world working together. To make the ISS, special factories were built. Inside these factories, workers used lots of different types of materials, tools, machines, and robots to build the parts that would make up the ISS. The parts were then sent up from Earth and put into space, where astronauts put them all together to make the International Space Station.
