Mara (demon)

Mara is a type of demon that shows up in some stories. People say that Mara often appears in the form of a scary monster and can make people feel scared or fall asleep. When Mara appears, it often wants something from the person it meets. Sometimes, it may be asking for help, or it might want to scare them. Other times, it may just be looking to cause trouble. Even though people are scared of Mara, it usually doesn't hurt them. In some stories, Mara even helps people when they are in trouble.
