Marine Mammal Protection Act

The Marine Mammal Protection Act is a law that helps protect animals that live in the water, like whales, dolphins, and seals. This law was made by grown-ups who care about these animals and want to make sure they're safe.

The law says that people cannot hurt or harass these animals on purpose, which means they can't do anything that could make the animals feel uncomfortable or scared. People also can't catch these animals unless they have a special permit, which means they have to ask permission from the grown-ups who make the rules before they can do it.

The Marine Mammal Protection Act also makes it illegal to sell or buy things made from these animals, like their fur or teeth. This helps keep people from hurting the animals just to make money.

By following the Marine Mammal Protection Act, people can help make sure that animals that live in the water are safe and happy.
