Marine debris

Marine debris is anything made by people that ends up in the ocean. This includes trash like plastic bottles and bags, fishing gear, and even big things like ships and boats. All of these things can hurt ocean animals and pollute their homes. Actions like throwing away litter, dumping chemicals, and spilling oil can all cause marine debris.
