Marxism-Leninism is a set of beliefs and ideas first developed by Karl Marx and Frederick Engels. It was later adapted and expanded by Vladimir Lenin, the leader of the Soviet Union from the early 20th century. Marxism-Leninism is based on the idea that workers and other oppressed people should have power in society, instead of the wealthy and powerful. It says that workers should be able to control the means of production, and should have the power to create a better society that works for everyone, not just the wealthy. In order to achieve this, it advocates for a revolution of the working class in order to break the power of the wealthy. Marxism-Leninism sees everything in political and economic terms, believing that change can only come from the people united in struggle against the forces of capitalism.
