Mary (mother of Jesus)
Mary was the mom of Jesus. She lived a long time ago, before people had cars or computers. Mary was a very special person – she was chosen by God to bring Jesus into the world. That's why people often call her the "Mother of God".
Mary was a very good person. She loved God and tried to do everything she could to please him. When an angel came to tell her she was going to have a baby, even though she was scared and didn't know what was going to happen, she trusted that God would take care of her.
When Mary was pregnant with Jesus, she and her husband Joseph had to go on a long journey to a place called Bethlehem. When they got there, they couldn't find a place to stay, so they ended up sleeping in a stable with animals. That's where Jesus was born.
Mary loved Jesus very much and she was always there for him. When he grew up and became a teacher, she supported him and followed him everywhere he went. She was even with him when he died on the cross.
Mary is very important to many people because she is a symbol of love, faith, and devotion to God. People pray to her and ask her to help them in their troubles. So even though Mary lived a long time ago, she still has a special place in the hearts of many people today.
