ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Masaru Emoto

Masaru Emoto was a person who believed that water could be affected by different things like music, words or even thoughts. He believed that if we say nice, kind and loving words to water, it will create beautiful shapes when the water is frozen. But if we say mean or negative words, the water will create ugly shapes when it is frozen. It's like talking nicely to a friend and they will feel happy or saying something mean to a friend and they will feel sad. Emoto thought this was important because he believed that everything is connected and that if we treat water nicely, we will be happier and healthier. However, scientists do not agree with Emoto's ideas and there is no scientific evidence to support his claims.
