Masculinizing hormone therapy

Masculinizing hormone therapy is when someone, usually a person born female, takes medicine to help them look and feel more like a man.

Our bodies have different hormones that help us grow and change as we get older. One hormone that helps people look more like a man is called testosterone.

When people start taking masculinizing hormone therapy, they take medicine that has testosterone in it. This medicine can be given in a few different ways, like by shot or by using a patch.

Taking testosterone can make a person's body start to look more like a man's body. It can help them grow more hair on their face and body, grow a deeper voice, and change their body shape so they look less like a woman and more like a man.

It's important to talk to a doctor and get a prescription before taking testosterone. And even though taking this hormone medicine can make someone look and feel more like a man, it's important to remember that everyone is different and might have a different experience with masculinizing hormone therapy.
