Masking (Electronic Health Record)

Masking or hiding data in electronic health records means only specific parts of the health information are allowed to be seen. This means that some parts of the information can be kept private and will only be allowed to be seen by certain people. For example, when you go to see your doctor, some of your personal health information will be kept private and not shared with others. It is kind of like a secret code that only certain people can unlock and read the private data.
