ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Matthew 28:17

Matthew 28:17 is a verse from the Bible, which is a book that many people believe contains teachings from God. In this verse, some of the followers of Jesus were seeing him after he had come back to life, but they still doubted if he was really who he said he was.

Think of it like this: Imagine that your friend told you they were a superhero with cool powers, but then they got hurt and you thought they might be pretending. Later, you saw them do something amazing that only a superhero could do, but you still had a little bit of doubt because it was hard to believe.

That's similar to what was happening in Matthew 28:17. Jesus' followers had seen him perform miraculous things, but they were still not sure if he was really the Son of God. But Jesus reassured them and told them to trust in him and his teachings.

So basically, the verse is a reminder to have faith in Jesus even when it may be hard to believe everything he says or does.
