Maximum entropy spectral estimation is a way to figure out what a sound looks like. When sound travels it makes waves, and those waves can be measured to figure out what the sound looks like. Maximum entropy spectral estimation uses a lot of math to figure out what the sound looks like based on the measure of the sound waves. It's like trying to find the puzzle pieces that fit together to make the picture of the sound.
