Mayanism

Mayanism is the study of the ancient Mayan civilization that lived in Central America a very long time ago. The Mayans were very smart and they knew a lot about astronomy (looking at the stars and planets in the sky). They also had their own calendar (like a special calendar to keep track of days) and believed in many gods (like the sun god and the rain god).

Some people believe that the Mayans knew things that we still don't know today! They made incredible buildings, like pyramids, that still exist today. They also invented a form of writing that other people couldn't understand for a very long time.

Mayanism is a way for people to learn about the culture, beliefs, and history of the Mayans. People who practice Mayanism may try to follow some of the same customs and beliefs as the Mayans, such as celebrating certain holidays or participating in rituals. It helps us understand more about this ancient civilization and the lessons we can learn from them.
