Well, a mcwhirtle is a type of poem that is also short and silly. It only has four lines and the first two lines rhyme with each other, and the last two lines rhyme with each other.
For example, here's a mcwhirtle:
There once was a cat named Whiskers,
Who loved to play with all sorts of whiskers.
One day he found a big hairy spider,
And ran away as fast as a glider.
