Measurement in quantum mechanics

Quantum mechanics is a branch of science that studies how matter and energy behave on the smallest scale. Measurement in quantum mechanics is how we observe the behavior of matter and energy on the small scale. Measurement in quantum mechanics takes place when we use tools, like microscopes and lasers, to measure the properties of tiny particles. When we measure something, like the size of a particle, we get a result that has both a number and a unit (like feet or meters). This result tells us how big the particle is. Measurement in quantum mechanics is important because it helps us understand how the universe works and helps us predict how certain particles will behave.
