ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Media Delivery Index

So, imagine you have a toy car that you want to drive from one side of the room to the other. But there are lots of things in your way, like toys on the floor and furniture that you have to go around or over.

Now, let's imagine that your toy car is like a video that you want to watch on the internet. When you click "play" on the video, it has to go through lots of different things on the internet before it can get to you. These things are like toys and furniture that your video has to go around or over in order to reach you.

The media delivery index is like a score that tells you how well your video is doing at getting through all of these obstacles and getting to you without any problems. If your video has a high media delivery index score, that means it was able to get to you quickly and smoothly. But if it has a low score, that means there were a lot of problems along the way and your video might not have played very well.

So, the media delivery index is just a way to measure how good a video's journey was from the internet to your computer or phone.
