Media redundancy protocol (MRP) is a way for computers to make sure that important files are safe. It makes 'backups' or extra copies of important files so that if one copy is lost or damaged, another one is still available. MRP makes it easier to recover important information that might have been lost or damaged. Think of it like a copy machine. You make multiple copies of important documents so that if one copy gets lost or damaged you still have a working copy. MRP does the same thing but with computer files instead.
