Media imperialism

Media imperialism is when bigger media companies, usually from more powerful countries, spread their media and cultural beliefs around the world. It's like when an empire from long ago took over new lands and then spread their beliefs, traditions and culture throughout these new lands. But with media imperialism, it's media companies spreading television shows, movies, and other forms of media all over the world. They do this because they want to make money and control what people in different countries are seeing and thinking.
