Medieval aesthetics

Medieval aesthetics refers to the art, literature, and architecture that was popular during the Middle Ages, which lasted from the 5th century to the 15th century. It was the time period between Ancient and Modern times. Medieval art generally had an elaborate, almost ornamental look to it, with bright colors and geometric or curved shapes. Old castles were built in a very striking and grand style, with lots of turrets and towers. Writing tended to be more poetic than modern fiction, with lots of exaggerated language, vivid imagery, and lessons or morals.
