Mellitic acid

Mellitic acid is a special kind of acid that is made up of tiny particles called molecules. Scientists call it mellitic acid because it was first discovered in a mineral called honey stone, which is very rare.

Now, imagine you have a bunch of little balls, and you want to build a tower with them. If you stack them all together in a nice tall tower, you will have made a structure that is called a crystal.
