Imagine you live in a big house with a lot of other people. There are so many people that it's hard for everyone to make decisions together. So, sometimes you choose some of the people to go to a big room and talk about important things.
In Wales, this big room is called the Senedd. The people who go to this room to talk about important things are called Members of the Senedd, or MS's for short. There are 60 MS's in total.
These MS's are like the grown-ups who take care of the big house. They talk about things that are important to everyone who lives in Wales, like making sure there's enough money for schools and hospitals, and making sure the roads are safe to drive on.
Some MS's are part of a big group called a political party. These are groups of people who have similar ideas about how the big house should be run. The most popular political parties in Wales are called Labour, Conservative, Plaid Cymru, and Liberal Democrats.
When it's time to make a big decision in the Senedd, all of the MS's get to vote. They put up their hand to show if they agree with the decision or not. If most of the MS's agree, then that's what everyone has to do.
Being a Member of the Senedd is an important job, just like being the leader of a club or team. They make sure things are going well for everyone who lives in Wales.
