Menopause is when your body stops making certain kinds of hormones (chemicals) that help you make a baby. This happens in most women when they are around 50 years old, but it can happen any time between 45 and 55. During menopause your body won't be able to have a baby anymore and you might start having some trouble sleeping, feeling hot a lot, or feeling emotional. All of these things are normal during menopause and don't last forever.
