Mergosono massacre
Okay kiddo, so there was a really bad thing that happened in Indonesia a long time ago called the Mergosono Massacre. It happened in 1989 when some students were protesting against the government because they didn't agree with some of the things it was doing.
The students had set up a protest camp in a town called Madiun, and the government didn't like this at all. So they sent in some soldiers to break up the protest and get rid of the students.
But instead of talking to the students and trying to understand what they were upset about, the soldiers just started shooting at them. It was really scary and a lot of people got hurt.
After the shooting stopped, it was discovered that 30 people had been killed and many more were injured. It was a really sad time for Indonesia and for everyone who knew the people who were hurt.
