Merton thesis

The Merton Thesis is a theory created by economist Robert C. Merton. It says that science and technology have helped economic growth. Basically, it means that scientific discoveries, inventions and technological advancements lead to increased economic growth. Put simply, the better the science and technology, the better the economy.
