Mosquitoes are very tiny flying bugs that like to suck blood from people and animals. They are a big nuisance because they can make you really itchy and can also spread diseases like malaria and the Zika virus.
In order to keep mosquitoes away, it's important to remove any standing water where they might lay their eggs, and wear long sleeves and pants or use insect repellent when you're going to be outside in a place where there are a lot of mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are especially active at dawn and dusk, so if you're outside during those times make sure to protect yourself from getting bitten.
