Metaproteomics

Metaproteomics is like a detective story. Scientists are trying to figure out what kinds of proteins are found in an environment. To do this, they collect samples of things like water, soil, and air, and do tests to identify the proteins present. Just like a detective, scientists use clues to identify the proteins and figure out the story behind the proteins. Metaproteomics helps us learn more about the environment and its inhabitants.
