Methodological individualism

Methodological individualism is a way of thinking about people and society. It says that the only real things in life are individuals and all of their decisions, behaviors, and choices, and any patterns of behaviors in society must come from the sum of all these individual decisions and choices. In other words, individuals make up a society, and all the things that happen in society come from what these individuals do.
