ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Mettu Aata

Mettu aata is a game that children play using colored tiles or stones. The game involves drawing a square on the ground and dividing it into rows and columns with four dots in each square. Then, the players take turns in placing their stones on the dots until no more stones can be placed.

Once all stones are placed, the players take turns in moving their stones one step at a time in any direction along the lines on the squares. The goal is to try and form a line of your colored stones that goes from one side of the square to the other side.

If a player succeeds in doing so, they win the game. But if both players are unable to form a line, then the game is declared a draw.

In essence, mettu aata is a fun and strategic game that can test one's skills in problem-solving and logical thinking. It is also a great way for children to learn about patience, concentration, and good sportsmanship.
