Meze

Meze is like a big plate of little finger foods that you can eat before your main meal. It’s popular in Mediterranean countries like Greece and Turkey.

Now imagine you are at a big party with your family and friends. Everybody is having a great time and talking a lot. But you’re feeling a little hungry and you don’t want to wait for the main meal to be served. That’s where meze comes in!

Meze is like a special menu of different little snacks that you can pick from. You might see things like stuffed grape leaves, hummus, fried cheese, olives, spicy meatballs, and more. You can grab a little bit of each thing and put it on your plate, and then you can start eating them right away.

Meze is really fun because everyone can try a little of everything, and you can keep eating and talking at the same time. And when it’s time for the main meal, you’ll already have a little bit of food in your tummy to hold you over until it’s served.
