Michael Forbes (farmer)
Michael Forbes is a farmer who lives in Scotland. He has a big piece of land and he takes care of it by planting crops like potatoes and vegetables.
Once upon a time, some people wanted to build something called a golf course on Michael's land. But Michael didn't want them to because he liked his land just the way it was. The golf people tried to offer Michael lots of money to change his mind, but he said no.
Michael loved living on his land and taking care of it. He didn't want it to be turned into a golf course. So, Michael decided to stand up for himself and for his land.
He went to court and fought for his rights. He told the judge that he wanted to keep his land just the way it was, and he didn't want the golf people to change it. The judge agreed with Michael and said that the golf people couldn't build their golf course on Michael's land.
