ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Michael Fordham

Michael Fordham was a famous British psychoanalyst. He was born in 1907 and lived until 1991. He is best known for his pioneering work on the unconscious mind, in which he argued that parts of the mind were hidden from conscious understanding. He thought that understanding how the unconscious works was essential to helping people with psychological problems. To do this, he developed new ways of understanding the mind by looking at how people interacted with each other. He also developed new theories of parenting and education, which helped to shape modern psychoanalytic practice.
