Microalbuminuria

Microalbuminuria is when a tiny amount of a type of protein called albumin leaks into your pee. Albumin usually stays in your blood, so it's not good if it's in your pee. This can happen if the tiny blood vessels in your kidneys are damaged, which is usually caused by high blood pressure or diabetes. High levels of albumin in the pee can cause more damage to the kidneys and make the problem worse.
