Microsoft Security Development Lifecycle

Okay kiddo, so you know how when you go for a walk with your family, you have to be careful and look both ways before crossing the street so you don't get hit by a car? Well, Microsoft has to do the same thing but with their computer programs.

When Microsoft makes new computer programs, they want to make sure that they are safe and don't let bad guys get into your computer and steal your stuff. So, they have a plan called the Microsoft Security Development Lifecycle to make sure their programs are safe before they release them.

First, Microsoft thinks about all the bad things that could happen to their program, like someone trying to hack into it or steal information. Then, they come up with ways to protect against those bad things.

Next, they start making the program and they test it a lot to make sure it's working the way they want it to. They also have special people called "security experts" who look at the program to try to find any problems. If they find a problem, they fix it before they release the program.

After the program is released, Microsoft keeps watching it to see if there are any new problems that pop up. If they find a problem, they fix it and make a new version of the program that's even safer.

So, that's what Microsoft Security Development Lifecycle is all about. It's like going for a walk but being really careful to make sure you don't get hurt along the way.
