Microwave transmission

A microwave transmission is when information is sent from one place to another using microwaves. Microwaves are invisible waves of energy that are like tiny radio waves. You can't see or hear microwaves, but they can travel through the air and bounce off of things. That's how our radios and TVs can get signals from the stations far away. There are also microwaves that travel between two places that are really far away from each other, and that's how information like phone calls and internet signals can be sent from one place to another in just a few seconds!
