Middle name

Think of your name as a sandwich. Your first name is the bread, and your last name is the filling. Your middle name is like the lettuce or tomato in between. It's an extra piece that makes your name a little more special. Some people don't have a middle name, and that's okay too, just like some sandwiches have just bread and filling, and that's still yummy. Sometimes parents give their children middle names to honor a family member or because they like the way certain names sound together. Middle names don't get used as much as first and last names, but they are still an important part of your full name.
