Okay kiddo, so Midnight Club is a video game where you get to drive cool cars really fast in big cities like Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Paris. You start at night time, hence the name "midnight," and you have to race against other people to win.
There are different types of races like circuit races where you have to drive around a set track or sprint races where you just have to get from point A to B as fast as you can. You also have to watch out for the police who will try and stop you if you're driving recklessly or breaking the law.
As you win more races and get better at driving, you earn money and can upgrade your car with new parts and make it look cooler. You also unlock new cars to drive and new cities to race in.
